THE DESIGN PROCESS

Stage 1 - Producing a Brief

This consists of holding an initial meeting (online, over the phone or face to face) to discuss in depth what you are looking for from your web site. I can suggest ideas that aim to meet your objectives, offer a creative basis to proceed and talk you through any special requirements. You will also be advised on costs and given a range of pricing options.

Time will be spent with you to get the brief right. After that I can offer a complete service to provide content, images etc or you can produce your own. I also offer to register your domain name and organise the hosting of your site.

Stage 2 - Agreeing the Design

Two or three designs will be provided for you to choose from. Between us we will work together to produce the right look and feel for your site.

Stage 3 - Web Site Build

At this point, you will need to provide all the content for the web site, and for this I provide you with a set of simple ‘storyboards’ (simple tables in MS Word). I can provide plenty of support when you are producing the content, and I also offer a full service if needed e.g. copy writing and photography.

Stage 4 - Testing and Amendments

Once the web site is completed, final tests will be undertaken using different browsers to make sure the web site functions and looks good to the majority of users. Email, forms etc will also be tested at this stage. During this time you can read through the site and check for any amendments. Then the web site will be ready to go 'live' and you will be billed for job completion.

Stage 5 - Maintenance

If your web site needs maintaining, an agreement can be drawn up based on your individual requirements.

Payment

Payment is only requested after the final design is signed-off. Payment via cheque or through secure online credit card ordering (Paypal) is accepted.
